There is so much Power in the words we speak, which is why I advocate for the careful handling of them.
Most people are faced with negative thoughts. And, unfortunately, it’s those negative ones that we pay more attention to, thus giving them strength. The purpose of affirmation is to pass a command from the conscious mind to the subconscious mind. The intended benefit is that the subconscious mind is supposed to work to create what the affirmation suggests.
Not only do negative thoughts decrease our confidence, but they also affect our mood and outlook on life. With constant repetition, we gradually and eventually convince ourselves that we’re inadequate and unworthy. Our actions become less confident and our behaviors start to reflect our inner thoughts, thus creating self-fulfilling negative results.
Positive Affirmations use this same principle to change life for the better. By repeating positive words we begin to insert ideas of success and strength into the thinking patterns of our subconscious.
